My name is Paula Clark and I am the mother of two children with Cystic Fibrosis. Cycling is a family hobby and a passion of mine. For a number of years we organized an annual 65 km ride on the Confederation Trail as a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

In 2012 and 2014 I was fortunate to participate in the GearUp4CF ride from Vancouver to Banff, which has raised over $1.5 million to date.  ( This is a 9-day 1,200 km ride journey of determination and hope.

In 2013, a number of cycling friends and I organized an 850 km perimeter tour of Prince Edward Island.  In 2015, 2016, and 2017 we again took on the challenge of circumnavigating Canada’s smallest province by bike with our own “GearUp4CF PEI Perimeter Ride”.  For 2018, we completed the tip-to-tip ride along the north shore of Prince Edward Island.  In 2019, we have come full circle (pun intended!) as we once again take on the one-day challenge of a 65 km cycling event on the Confederation Trail!

If you are interested in finding out more information about the ride, please contact Lisa Weatherhead, Atlantic Canada Cystic Fibrosis Canada office at (902) 425-2462 or email:

  1. Just wanted to thank you folks for the small and effective promotional calendar as a reminder of the PEI Perimeter Ride. Just 12 ride photos with calendar months super-imposed but the images are what really matters.
    Very smart choice!

  2. So excited to be returning home to The Maritimes to ride the PEI Perimeter Ride for CF. Along with my sister we did the GEARUP4CF 1200km rides from Vancouver to Banff in 2013 & 2015. Clare S

    • We look forward to welcoming you to PEI. I missed you during my GearUp4CF Vancouver to Banff rides…I was there in 2012 and 2014! Paula
